Economic development plays in Peoria

It’s not just about new business. The economic development department in Peoria’s mission is to create a quality of life, and that creates jobs.

So says Peoria’s newest economic development manager, Jeanine Jerkovic. A veteran of economic development, Jerkovic moved from economic development administration in the City of Glendale just a couple months ago. Prior to that, she served as a trade commissioner for Canada, and as the economic development director in the City of Surprise. She holds a bachelor of science degree in political science from Arizona State University.
