Leaders of the southern-Arizona Tohono O’Odham tribe broke ground last week for its planned casino and resort adjacent to Glendale.
They were joined in the celebration by local politicians, including those from cash-strapped Glendale, whose support the tribe purchased for $25 million over the next 20 years.
At this point in the casino debate, let’s face it: The Tohono O’Odham and their political friends are welcome to their celebration.
