The Arizona Free Enterprise Club is spending big this election cycle, having already forked out nearly $1.4 million for independent expenditure campaigns.
The club is one of these nonprofits that don’t disclosure their donors. Nevertheless, it is almost universally believed in Arizona political circles that Arizona Public Service is the principal source of the largesse.
There are some things about that explanation, however, that don’t ring entirely true to me.
