The question of whether Arizona Public Service is funding attack ads has dominated the discussion of the Republican primary for two open seats on the Arizona Corporation Commission.

The question of what APS is doing has overshadowed a development in the political thrust-and-parry that merits greater attention than it received. Both Lucy Mason and Vernon Parker called for the resignation of APS CEO Don Brandt over the dark-money allegations.
