The home of Arizona State University’s main campus offers all the creature comforts of a “big-city experience” in addition to a collegiate atmosphere, according to livability.com, reports Ryan Van Velzer, The Arizona Republic
That’s thanks in part to the more than 175 miles of bike paths and trails, in addition to Tempe Town Lake, restaurants, bars, art galleries, and cultural centers including Gammage Auditorium and the Tempe Center for the Arts.
Livabilty.com, a data-mining website that looks at small- and mid-size towns, based its ranking on student populations, ages, affordable housing, entertainment and walkability among other criteria. For its fifth iteration, the website grouped cities according to Football Bowl Subdivision cities then ranked the best in each division.
