Tonopah sale makes way for 8,000 residential units

TonopahThe Kuiper Family Trust and related entities including Kuiper Dairy LLC, led by Darrel Kuiper of Buckeye, Ariz., paid $12.3 million cash to acquire +/-1230 acres portion of Sierra Negra Ranch, a 2751-acre site located north and south of Interstate 10 at 395th Avenue, Tonopah, Ariz., as reported by AZRE Magazine.

The seller on the transaction was Sierra Negra Ranch, LLC, a Nevada LLC, a Las Vegas investment group managed by Barry Becker of Becker Realty. Rick Jellies of City to City Commercial Real Estate, represented the seller; the buyer was represented by Luke Schlosser, Southwest Land Associates and Brad Kuiper of Pacific Land Company. The combined property is approved for 8622 residential units along with various employment and commercial uses and has utility solutions in place.
