Peoria is one of a number of sites being explored by the Milwaukee Brewers Major League Baseball club for a spring training facility, according to city and team officials.
A team spokesman would not confirm the number of locations being considered but indicated there are at least more than one.
“We are considering all options at this point. I am not prepared to say anything beyond that now,” said Tyler Barnes, the club’s vice president of communications in a phone message Tuesday.
