On Aug. 27, members of the Queen Creek Town Council unveiled a new monument at the intersection of Ellsworth and Germann roads, welcoming drivers to the community.

In order to determine the themes of the new entry monuments, the town council invited residents to help choose the artwork or submit their own original sketches for consideration, according to a press release from the town.

More than 330 votes were cast on the town’s website. Residents selected six designs for creation: cotton fields, equestrian roots, farms, Hohokam heritage, the mountains that surround the community and the wash system.
