Maricopa-area home prices drop a little

Home sales dropped slightly in August to 105 in Maricopa and the surrounding areas. Combined sales totaled $15.6 million, according to the statistical market analysis from the Arizona Multiple Listing Service. The homes fetched an average of 98 percent of their asking price.

The highest-priced house was a single-level, fully-furnished waterfront home on Sweet Dreams Drive in Province. The 2,021 square-foot property sold for $335,000 after 339 days on the market.
