Peoria special election to be held in November

special-election-buttonjpg-ced425089d30b998The special election for Peoria’s Mesquite District council seat will be held Nov. 4, with potential run-off on March 10, reports Jackee Coe, The Arizona Republic.

The election was postponed after candidate Ken Krieger’s name twice was left off the ballot due to county errors

The candidate who wins the election will be seated immediately because the election is to fill a vacancy

To win outright, a candidate must receive 50 percent plus one ballot cast.

Incumbent Ron Aames appeared headed to a run-off in November with Michael Finn for the Palo Verde seat.
