Oro Valley authorities have confirmed that Sahuarita Town Attorney Daniel Jay Hochuli has been charged with driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content exceeding the legal limit.

Hochuli, the brother to NFL referee Ed Hochuli and Pima County Superior Court Judge Peter Hochuli, was driving in Oro Valley when an officer stopped him for an unsafe lane change, and at that time, alcohol was discovered inside the vehicle.

Court records indicate the complaint was filed on Sept. 10. Hochuli’s initial court appearance at the Pima County Justice Courts is scheduled for Oct. 13.
