Scott Sulley is no longer justice of the peace of the Maricopa-Stanfield Justice Court.
Nor will he serve again as a judge in any other courtroom in Arizona.
The Arizona Supreme Court handed down a final decision banning Sulley from any Arizona court bench for life. It’s the close of one chapter of a months-long investigation into the Maricopa court and its presiding judge, which revealed a dysfunctional court and judicial system embroiled in problems with missing records, bad warrants, poor professional conduct and nearly $200,000 in missing funds.
Chief Justice Scott Bales wrote in the order that the top court in the state accepted and approved all recommendations made by the Arizona Commission on Judicial Conduct.
