Tempe is working on a deal to offer an eight-year property-tax incentive to lure a developer to buy and build on prime city-owned land at Town Lake.
The developer, TrendEx Holdings LLC, would purchase about 11 acres on the southern bank of Town Lake for an estimated $17.6 million. That is about $35.74 per square foot, according to Tempe public records linked to the sale.
The proposed mixed-use development would include apartments, condos, office and retail space.
