The Arizona Republic has laid off at least six editorial staff members, issued a 25 percent pay cut to some employees and given out new job titles today as part of its latest reorganization to its newsroom.
At least five employees have also accepted buyouts. The layoffs included reporters, photographers and editors.
Gannett Co. Inc. announced it was eyeing a 15-percent payroll cut last month.
Editors and reporters also had to reapply for jobs under new titles.
