A printing mistake on some election ballot envelopes in Maricopa County could result in ballots not being counted.
The problem is that the name and address on the envelopes do not match.
“If they were to complete that envelope and sign their name it would not match and I don’t know how many people look at that closely,” said Maricopa County Recorder Helen Purcell.
That could cost some residents their votes this year if they don’t catch the mistake.
County election officials said the mistake occurred on a small number of ballots and they are working hard to fix it.
