The city of Maricopa will have a university, hospital, regional airport, light rail and cleaner air while maintaining its small-town feel in 2040.
That glimpse of the future came from brainstorming between Maricopa residents as they help craft Vision 2040, a blueprint to the city’s growth in the next 25 years. The community forums started Oct. 20 and continue through Nov. 13, and residents were encouraged to dream big in their conversations.
