The resignation of a Coolidge City Council member has left another vacancy in what was already a big year of transition for city government.
Judy Rotz-Lopez announced she will be leaving the council at the end of the meeting that took place on Oct. 13. She came to the decision after her doctor ordered her to eliminate any stress she can due to health issues she has been battling for some time now.
“Council can be quite stressful at times,” Rotz-Lopez said in an interview with the Examiner. “My doctor thinks I’m a walking time bomb and he wants me to remove the stress in my life.”
