Builders of PhoenixMart said earlier this year that once construction of the 1.7-million-square-foot sourcing center eventually starts, it could be finished by late 2015. But during a Casa Grande Planning and Zoning Commission meeting Thursday, AZ Sourcing CEO Jeremy Schoenfelder pushed back that completion date, saying building the facility might extend into early 2016.

Construction has not yet begun. In May, a sign was built and some landscaping done at the development site.

“Every time you come before the committee it’s being pushed back a little bit,” commission member Dr. Joel Braunstein said.
