Belloc takes Eloy mayor’s position; McGuire apparently wins re-election

With virtually all Pinal County election results in, Joel Belloc’s lead in the Eloy mayoral race jumped to 50 Monday to give him the victory over Steven Paulson.

For a seat on the Eloy City Council, Andrew Rodriguez had an insurmountable 27-vote lead over Richard Voss.

Pinal County Elections Technology Manager Damon Hampton had said the last 2,781 provisional ballots would be counted Monday, leaving only five conditional ballots to be tallied.

Provisional ballots are issued when voters’ registration is questioned because they requested an early ballot, then came to the polls; they moved and the address did not match the registration; or they had married and the name had changed.
