Chandler P&Z approves 194-unit multi-family development

Rezoning for a high-density housing project called Avilla Homes near Warner Road and Arizona Avenue was approved by the Chandler Planning and Zoning Commission on Nov. 19.

Avilla Homes are built as a gated community of multi-family housing, but it is non-traditional.

There are no multi-story buildings; the development at Arizona Avenue and Warner Road includes 194 individual units that are detached except for about two-dozen one-bedroom units that are in duplexes. Two- and three-bedroom units are individual structures.
