The election results earlier this month could further propel State Senate President Andy Biggs’ power and influence at the Arizona Legislature.
Biggs was already a key policy driver at the State Capitol and that could grow with a new governor, Doug Ducey, and new House Speaker, David Gowen.
Gov. Jan Brewer was term limited and former House speaker Andy Tobin made an unsuccessful bid for Congress.
That leaves Biggs with leadership tenure at the Republican-controlled Legislature.
