It’s finally over in Glendale, Scottsdale

A pair of city council races were decided Wednesday in Glendale and Scottsdale, with the final tally showing narrow winning margins in both, and losses for two incumbents.

In Scottsdale, Kathy Littlefield beat incumbent Dennis Robbins by 54 votes out of nearly 28,000 cast for the third council seat, according to the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office.

In Glendale, Jamie Aldama edged one-term incumbent Norma Alvarez by 19 votes in the city’s Ocotillo District, with just over 2,400 ballots cast. Alvarez said she would seek a recount.
