Glendale council race result could take a week

Political newcomers Lauren Tolmachoff and Bart Turner cruised to victory Tuesday in their Glendale City Council races, but incumbent Norma Alvarez trails challenger Jamie Aldama by 10 votes in the unofficial results.

The Ocotillo District winner may not be known until Nov. 12 after all the provisional ballots are tallied, said Pam Hanna, Glendale City Clerk.

“We may not have the final-final numbers until then,” Hanna said.
