Two major Peoria projects earned the title “Best of the West” Nov. 6 at the 22nd Annual Best of West Awards, presented by WESTMARC, a coalition of West Valley advocates. The awards were designed to honor West Valley businesses, and community and civic leaders in outstanding contributions to the image, lifestyle and economic development of the West Valley.
The City of Peoria received an Excellence In Innovation award for the creation of BioInspire, the first-ever bio-medical focused incubator and accelerator program in Arizona. Under this category, the city was recognized for its partnership with BioAccel and Plaza Companies to develop a highly specialized center of innovation, acting as a catalyst for the creation of biomedical device industry cluster in Peoria.
