Pinal County Supervisor Pete Rios is not happy with recent comments made by Sheriff Paul Babeu, and he’s letting the public know it.
Last week, Rios penned an open letter that slammed Babeu for comments made about some of the immigrant children being held at Sycamore Canyon Academy, a boarding school for troubled teens in Oracle.
A number of Central American illegal immigrants who crossed the border earlier this year initially were supposed to be sent to the facility on July 15, causing a protest to erupt in Oracle. Babeu tipped the public off to the supposed arrival of the immigrants on a bus, but it never came that day.
