Shopping, dining among new development projects in Mesa

Several construction projects in the works for Mesa could bring new employment opportunities, retail services and dining options to neighborhoods across the city.

Development plans include a new Fry’s-anchored shopping center in east Mesa, an industrial building near Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and a major restaurant renovation south of Fiesta Mall. Here’s a look at five projects still in the early stages, some of which must still be approved by the city.
