The city’s budget picture is expected to remain stable over the next five years due to projected growth in revenues that will be essentially offset by hikes in employee wages, salaries and benefits, a reduction in the sales-tax rate.
Meanwhile, water and sewer, and sanitation rates charged by the city to residents and businesses are expected to remain stable next fiscal year, which begins July 1, 2015, and ends June 30 the following year. However, hikes after that are possible to support capital projects.
