The Tempe City Council gave its blessing to the Baum Development team and its plan to restore and adapt the Hayden Flour Mill into new community and hospitality uses.

The proposal, selected from four submitted to the city for the five-acre parcel and historic mill site, assembles a team of local and Chicago development professionals with extensive experience bringing new life to historic properties.

Chicago-based Baum Development is joined by Aparium Hotel Group, a hotelier from Chicago, and Phoenix area firms SmithGroupJJR as architect and Sundt Construction Inc. as general contractor.
