Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio this morning notified supporters he intends to seek reelection.
In an e-mail, the nationally known Republican sheriff said winning another term would not be easy because of opposition from the left.
“As you are aware, going up against Barack Obama’s political machine, Hollywood leftists and their millions as well as a hostile local and national media is extremely expensive, which is why I need your financial support,” he wrote.
Arpaio is in his sixth four-year term.
