OK, Surprise appointees, here’s your assignment

Following city council policy to boost economic development opportunities for Surprise, City Manager Bob Wingenroth announced new staff and organizational changes to attract new jobs and entertainment options for the city.

“These humble and talented leaders put us in a strong position to implement the vision of city council,” said Mr. Wingenroth. “They join an accomplished team of servant leaders who are focused on doing all they can for the residents of Surprise.”

Jeanine Jerkovic joins the city Dec. 22 as Economic Development director. She returns to her hometown with a juried background in public economic development experience, 10 years of which were in management roles. She comes to lead the Surprise Economic Development team having served most recently as the Economic Development manager for Peoria.
