The number of metro Phoenix houses taken back by lenders in December ticked up slightly.
Last month, there were 346 foreclosures recorded Valleywide, according to the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Services’ research arm, The Information Market. That’s up from 335 foreclosures in November but still down from 466 in October.
Metro Phoenix’s foreclosure crisis began winding down in 2013, when monthly foreclosures fell below 1,000. Valley foreclosures hit a monthly record in March 2010, when they reached 5,100.
