Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort in Maricopa celebrated its 20th birthday over the weekend, and while it’s brought plenty of entertainment to locals and visitors from across the country, few probably realize the economic impact it has on Pinal County.
Pinal County, the third-largest county in Arizona, is constantly comparing itself to its to bigger brothers that it’s sandwiched between – Pima County, and to an even larger extent, Maricopa County. While Pinal County doesn’t boast the kind of companies those counties do, Harrah’s is the one big-name brand that keeps attracting customers.
But what does that mean for the financial bottom line in the county?
