I begin to see why Glendale is so poor that the city is contemplating selling off one of its three libraries.
The Republic’s Peter Corbett is reporting that former Glendale City Manager Brenda Fischer will scoop up nearly $153,000 in severance pay on her way out the door.
This, after resigning last week from a job she held for not even 19 months.
That’s more than $8,000 in severance pay for every month she worked for the city.
The Glendale City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to give Fischer the equivalent of nine months’ salary.
The question is, why?
