It’s fair to say the window nearly closed Jan. 22 on any chance of a negotiated solution between APS and the residents of Sarah Ann Ranch in southwest Surprise on power lines in the community’s green belt.
That’s when residents, power company officials and Surprise leaders met with members of the Arizona Corporation Commission to continue discussions from earlier in the month.
And at that meeting, residents believe APS used its influence on the commission to keep the project on schedule and in its sighted location — rather than burying or moving the line.
