Peoria strikes deal with old Walmart property owner

It is a two-way deal. Ray Hult, principal in the ownership of the old Walmart and Albertson’s property at 83rd and Peoria avenues, came to terms with the City of Peoria Tuesday night on a commercial revitalization easement agreement.

It is not a free deal, however. But, the door swings both ways in that Hult’s group is committed to adding more business pads, making significant and comprehensive facade improvement, as well as improving parking lots, landscaping and hardscaping to the depressed shopping center.
