A portion of the historic Mountain Shadows resort in Paradise Valley has been sold, according to the Maricopa County Recorder’s office.

Although few details are available, records indicate that California-based Crown Realty & Development has closed the sale of at least one parcel on the property at N. 56th Street and E. Lincoln Drive to an unknown entity for $5.5 million.

The landmark 68-acre Mountain Shadows resort is being redeveloped to include at least a 100-room boutique resort hotel and retain the 18-hold golf course.
