Real estate organization opposes city of Phoenix energy disclosure plan

The real estate industry is fretting over a plan by the city of Phoenix that would require commercial building owners to report energy consumption and use of renewable power to a public database.

The city is considering energy reporting requirements for buildings of 50,000 square feet or more. It would be akin to policies in New York, San Francisco, Seattle and other big cities.
