3 Goodyear City Council incumbents hold large leads

In the race to fill three Goodyear City Council seats Tuesday, unofficial results showed the incumbents with significant leads over their challengers.

Goodyear City Clerk Maureen Scott said she didn’t know how many ballots were dropped off on Election Day, which means that it will probably be Friday before official results are known.

Under the primary-election formula, elections officials must know the total of votes cast before they can determine whether a runoff election is necessary.
