$5M+ Deal – $50M sale of 72 acres in Chandler

Below is the deal that closed Wednesday, March 18, 2015, in Maricopa County over $5 million according to the Maricopa County Recorder. The Rose Law Group Reporter has not independently verified these transactions.

$50.2 million sale of 72 acres of land near the northwest corner of Queen Creek and Gilbert roads (2650 E. Queen Creek Road) in Chandler by Suncap Phoenix LLC, an entity created by Charlotte, North Carolina-based SunCap Property Group, a national commercial real estate development, investment and advisory firm.

The Buyer was R.I. Elk Grove LLC, an entity of Vancouver, Washington-based Rood Investments, which owns 11 senior housing projects in Oregon, Washington and California and is actively seeking to expand its portfolio, according to their website.

The property was purchased with a conventional loan and an $18.9 million down payment.

Business Real Estate Weekly reports the buyer purchased a distribution facility occupied by Federal Express.
