Google is hiring in several cities, including Phoenix, as the tech giant considers where to expand its Google Fiber service.
Phoenix is in the running for Google’s high-speed Fiber service, along with Portland, Salt Lake City, San Antonio and San Jose. Google will announce which metro area will get the faster service later this year.
Google said it was considering Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe for its Fiber service more than a year ago as part of a national high-speed Internet fiber network it was launching in nine U.S. markets.
Google is seeking a sales strategy and operations manager in Phoenix. It’s one of several job postings listed for each city where Google is considering expansion, a Google spokesperson told me by email.
