Magic Ranch annexation voting by its residents appears doubtful

Chances of residents in the pending annexation areas being able to vote in the town’s May 19 special election are looking remote. With annexation challenges moving slowly through Pinal Superior Court, it appears residents in those areas won’t be in town when the voter registration deadline passes in April.

The town was expected to file a motion for summary judgment this week, after which plaintiff John Dantico has 30 days to respond and may file his own motion for summary judgment. The town then has 30 days to respond to Dantico.
