Tickets to trouble? Will Glendale government shadows ever lift?

Four members of the Glendale City Council used free tickets in a luxury suite at Gila River Arena to see the sold-out Bob Seger concert last month, despite recent discussions of altering the suite-usage policy.

Vice Mayor Ian Hugh attended with his wife and invited Glendale Star Publisher Bill Toops and his wife to attend the veteran rocker’s show Feb. 19.

Mayor Jerry Weiers and Councilman Gary Sherwood both attended the concert.

Councilman Bart Turner, elected in November, attended with three guests.
