$5.32 million sale of vacant land in the vicinity of Camelback Road and Loop 303 in Goodyear by RP PV I LLC, an entity of Rockpoint Group, LLC, a Boston-based real estate private equity firm and registered investment adviser.

The buyer was Recreational Equipment Inc., more commonly known as outdoor recreation retailer, REI.

The buyer paid cash for the roughly 43 acres, an area in the far west Valley that remains somewhat undeveloped. However, with the completion of the freeway at Camelback Road and construction between Interstate 10 and Van Buren Street expected to start in fall 2015, the area is poised for development.
