One current and one former Florence police officer who are suing the town in federal court saw their case upheld last week when the judge declined to dismiss major portions of the lawsuit as requested by the town.
The judge, however, agreed with the town that the plaintiffs should simplify their complaint to eliminate “redundant, irrelevant, vague, or old allegations of fact.”
“We were very relieved to get that ruling,” Officer Walt Hunter commented Monday.
