Glendale’s glittering image during the run-up to Super Bowl XLIX saw some of its shine tarnished with wpolitical news and key personnel moves following the big game. Underneath that level, the city shines in its efforts to help its businesses succeed.
Four job fairs have been held since the beginning of the year, said Economic Development Director Brian Friedman, adding that business retention and internal growth is a major focus of his department.
“It’s a lot easier to grow a company already (in Glendale),” he said. “We have the ability to connect employers with resources and venues to hold job fairs. Some businesses are surprised to find the city wanting to help lead a hiring effort.”
