Goodyear plans a $5.5M infrastructure project to spark interest in private development around the future site of a Civic Center, and to relieve traffic congestion around Desert Ridge High School.
“The combination of everything prompted us to move forward with the infrastructure,” said Senior Project Manager Regis Reed.
Work on Phase One, which began March 23, is to be completed by July 1. The $1.3M design job is being led by Ritoch-Powell & Associates, and the $2.6M construction contract is held by Combs Construction Company.
“We just wanted to get the utilities and roadway in for school next fall,” Reed said.
