With more than $300 million in multi-family transactions within the last five years, Orion Investment Real Estate has announced the addition of three experienced brokers to its Multifamily Division. Bob Farrell, Zack Mishkin and Jamie Canute have joined the Orion team to increase coverage of the multifamily investment sales market.
Bob Farrell has more than 20 years of business experience, including six years in multi0-family brokerage and acquisitions. His exposure to both the brokerage and acquisition side of multifamily transactions enables him to offer a compelling perspective to multifamily principals. He started his real estate career with Sperry Van Ness in Phoenix. After successfully brokering several multi-family transactions, he transitioned to the buy side as the Southwest Director of Acquisitions for Venterra Realty in Houston, Texas. Farrell graduated from Boston College with a degree in Accounting and earned his MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona. In addition to being a licensed real estate professional in the state of Arizona, Farrell is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Zack Mishkin is currently an associate specializing in multi-family and multi-family land acquisition. He is in his 10th year of assisting clients with real estate transactions. Mishkin transitioned from residential sales to investment-based commercial real estate transactions in 2012. With his understanding of the development process, the combination of his communicative and linguistic abilities, his experience in selling upper echelon priced product, and his detail-oriented approach to the commercial real estate process, Mishkin is invaluable to the Orion multi-family team.
Jamie Canute is currently an Associate specializing in multifamily and multifamily land acquisition. His background in both architecture and financial planning assisted him in his transition in 2013, and the skill set he brought with him proved to be a complimenting asset. His finance skills allowed him to flourish in assisting clients in finding the best investment to fit their individual criteria, while his architectural background allowed him to walk those clients through the physical aspects of real estate.
