Nearly four months after their first attempt at a recall of Councilmember Gary Sherwood, signature gatherers submitted their second group of petitions for force a recall election.
“Having two recall efforts with two rounds of collecting signatures gave us the opportunity to make many Sahuaro district constituents aware of who their Councilman Sherwood was and what a train wreck he is,” said Anna Lee, the Recall Councilman Gary Sherwood chairman. “In that way, the two efforts will be beneficial in getting voters to the polls to recall Sherwood.”
The group submitted a projected 4,055 signatures on 272 petitions April 24 to the Glendale City Clerk’s office.
