The Legislature did not go quietly into that good night

The Arizona Legislature wrapped up its work for the year early Friday morning, making the lightning-fast 81-day 2015 legislative session the shortest since man landed on the moon.

But the final push towards sine die was not a sprint, but a plodding affair, as lawmakers hit several last-minute roadblocks that caused hours-long delays and left several high-profile measures on the chopping room floor when both chambers finally adjourned at 3:37 a.m April 3.
