What began as an add-on to a trip to Phoenix ended up renewing a relationship between the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the most rural parts of southern Arizona.
In the days before her scheduled Native American law conference Friday in Scottsdale, USDA Undersecretary of Rural Development Patrice Kunesh toured Pinal County facilities funded by her department, including Kachina Apartments in Casa Grande and the Community Action Human Resources Agency in Eloy.
She also paid a visit to San Xavier Co-op and Tohono O’odham Community College in Pima County.
